The UVGI system stands for ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. It means the sterilization with the ability to end the microbe with the use of UVC energy is known as UVGI system [ระบบ uvgi, which is the term in Thai]. In simple words, the ability to clean the bacteria and virus using the power of UVC is called UVGI. Now, many people have heard about ultraviolet light. But not everyone knows that it has three types. These are UVA, UVB and UVC. These three are characterized according to their wavelength. The shorter the wavelength of the UV ray the dangerous it is for the human body. The wavelength of UVA particles is 315nm to 400nm. That is why it is being used in printing and medical purposes.
The wavelength of UVB is 280nm to 315nm. It is being used for curing cancer and medical applications. The last type of UV ray that is UVC and its wavelength is 200nm to 280nm. This is the UV ray that is being used for cleansing and disinfecting. Whereas the normal wavelength of UV ray is 100nm to 200nm.
